Boxer is a service dog. It is among service dogs because of its parentage. In the 19th century the bulenbaystery and English Bulldogs were imported to Germany, these dogs heva been used for baiting for a long time. The ancestors of these fighting breeds were the ancestors of modern boxers. Munich became a center of a new dog breeding. The original name of the breed was "Munich Beer - boxer." Breeders of these dogs were butchers, ranchers and small artisans were the breeders of these dogs. First best boxers were exhibited in 1895 in Munich. The male flock among four best representatives of the breed was later brought by the first number into the studbook. After a year a boxers’ club was established in Munich. He joined a few dozens of dogs. In 1897 a nationwide German club of boxers appeared, pedigree dogs’ breeding officially began in 1904. At this time, boxer’s breed studbook was framed. During the First World War difficulties for breeders emerged. Boxers were first tested as military dogs that made them famous and extremely popular in the post-war period. In the middle of 1920's this dog becomes the fifth in a row breed, which was used in the police service in Germany. This circumstance gave a new push to breeding this breed. In the 20-ies of the last century, the popularity of boxers has surpassed the popularity of German dogs. The boxer’s standard has changed more than one time. The main criterion was the increase in height at the withers. Despite the changes in parameters to increase growth, the boxer has not lost its working qualities. It is possible due to the observance of the proportions height to weight. The stable essential “data” is specific for breeds of German origin. The British looked to bring a supertypical dog, while the Germans tried to reproduce a maximum of useful qualities in offspring. The appearance was subordinated to the utility. German breeders of healthy dogs differ in a harmonious physique: Rottweilers, Dobermanns and Boxers. This approach does not allow the breed to degenerate. After all, only an animal, with the right physique, may have the necessary working qualities and high viability. Boxer is popular all over the world.
