A short history of the origin of the dogs

DNA analyses show that domestic dog (CanisFamaliaris) is the ancestor of wolf (CanisLupus). Wolf's ability to adapt to different life conditions and the talent to create effective social partnership permit allow them to live on our planet for many millennia. For that very reason the wolf was the most suitable animal to be among the first who lived with a human in one house. Domesticate wolves were into luck more than 400 millions of dogs live on the planet while there are only 400 thousands of wolves in the wild.
In ancient times, the ancestors of cute Cocker Spaniel wandered in the wild. Although, we close eyes to this, but our four legged friend still have habits and mores of their distant relatives playfulness, the desire to know the world and the desire to obey parents or top dog. Dogs have inherited from wolves their ability to survive and to adapt in different social systems starting with living alone or in pairs and ending life in huge flocks, the ability to get on well with each other and the need to develop stable relationship inside their commune. Dog's behavior is similar to wolf's one (up to about 11 years by the standards of human age scale), depending on the peculiarities of each breed talents of guard dogs, shepherd dogs, guide dogs, hunting dogs we can see genes of ancestors everywhere.



A dog has had a special relationship with a human for more than 12 000 years. We’ve made friends with each other, when during the Stone Age wolves were feeding near our houses and then we discovered that dogs could help us in tracking and hunting the kill. At times when ancient people conquered new territory for life and formed new settlements, they came to a conclusion that wolf cabs could have been domesticated and used in own purposes. That’s when we started first breeding works – we picked out the most friendly wolf cubs, in each new litter we picked out puppies with special physical qualities and particulars of deportment.
