Most dog owners are responsible for training their pets from puppyhood. However, an adult dog can be trained, but it will be much more difficult than teaching a puppy. It will be difficult to explain an adult dog why it must not bark at people and chase cats.

Especially for owners, Kennel Clubs exist, which can help to train a dog properly. However, not all breeders have the opportunity to teach their pets in such clubs, and then home training can be used for such purposes.

Thus, teaching the dog basic commands, a part of them (does not require a lot of space) can be trained directly in the apartment. Commands that require a lot of space are better to teach in the street (at the site for dogs in the park), where no one will distract your dog.

Training your dog on the street, it should be already accustomed to a collar and a leash. Thus, you will achieve control over your pet and restrict it from adverse effects. During the training, the dog owner must be calm and focused.

In the first days of classes, you must be patient, because the pet will ignore training in the beginning. It is important to know, that on first day your dog will not be able to follow all of your orders. Therefore, in the process of training be milder with your favorite, and it will answer you in return.

During exercise never be angry and scold the dog, and even more do not use physical force, because you will only discourage the dog's desire to train and create a negative attitude to you. If the pet does not want to follow the order, it is better to interrupt the training and give the pet a little rest. Play with it, and then continue training again.

Begin its education with simple commands, gradually moving to difficult exercises. Once the dog has followed your order, you should immediately praise it and give a tasty treat. With this approach, the dog would follow basic orders better.

Basic commands used in training are: "Sit!", "Heel!", "Come!", "Down!". These commands must be pronounced in a loud, clear voice, at the same time using hand gestures.

Trainings are better to start in an uncrowded place, so the dog will behave calmly. The very first lessons are held by a leash. Any exercise begins with calling the animal. Holding the end of the leash, you should not move away a lot from the dog and at a distance say a command "Come!".

For this command, you can use a hand gesture. One arm extend forward in the direction, and the other hand fall to the bottom. While pronouncing the command "Come!" the extended arm drops sharply, slapping the thigh of the leg. If the dog came up to you, give it its favorite treat. Moreover, go to the next team.

The simplest and the quickest basic command to memorize is "Sit!". Pronouncing the command, you need to click on the little dog's rump, forcing it to sit in such a way. While following the order praise and encourage your dog. Gradually, your pet will follow this order itself.

The command "Down!" is not performed from a standing position from a sitting position. Do not press too much on the shoulder girdle of the pet and it will lie down. Do not forget to encourage your dog.

Teaching a dog the command "Heel!" you must have a leash so long that the dog could only go next to the feet of the owner. The right hand holds the leash, while the left holds the rest, so it does not drag on the ground.

Pronouncing the command "Heel!", start moving and your four-legged friend should be near you. You should follow it, so he did not run ahead or behind you. After following the order, give your pet a treat.

Therefore, if you want a reliable four-legged friend to live with you, do not be lazy! Train your pet daily.
